Stretching is essential to feeling good and whatever your go-to activity is—golf, baseball, running—it’s important to take care of your muscles. We’re sharing two of our favorite stretches to jumpstart your day.
Best for helping to Improve Posture: Shoulder Squeeze
Sit in a chair or stand with your feet hip-width apart and raise your hands to shoulder height with your elbows bent and your palms facing forward. Move your arms back, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Hold for 10-15 seconds before returning to the starting position. Repeat five times.
Best for helping to prevent Lower Back Pain: Calf/Cow
Start on the floor with your hands directly underneath your shoulders, and knees on the floor aligned with your hips Begin with your spine in its natural, neutral position then curl your spine and tilt your pelvis down so that your head and glutes reach up toward the ceiling and your belly drops down toward the floor. Hold for five seconds, inhaling in through your nose. Then round your spine in the opposite direction, tilting your pelvis forward and tucking your tailbone. Hold for five seconds and exhale. Repeat five times.
For targeted relief consider pairing our Natural Muscle Rub with your stretching routine. The invigorating lotion is infused with cooling peppermint and eucalyptus and may help soothe sore muscles.
