The best way to de-stress

We totally get it, life is stressful. But there are so many things you can do to help alleviate some, if not all, of it. We’ve got a little something for everyone. Have an idea? Let us know to be featured in an upcoming post! 

  • Make a list. Sometimes part of the stress is feeling overwhelmed by how much there is to do. A list is a tried and true method to help cope. Plus, the satisfaction of crossing something off a list is unmatched :) 
  • Surround yourself with lavender. You may not be able to run through a field of lavender, but applying a lavender-scented lotion, like our Lavanilla Facial Moisturizer, or using a lavender pillow mist will have you breathing in the calming scent. You’ll feel the stress just melt away. 
  • Write! Keep a journal, writer down a daily affirmation or even start that book you’ve been thinking about. Putting your thoughts or goals on paper not only makes them seem more manageable, but writing them down means you can visually see them which makes you act differently. 
Sing along to your favorite song. Whether you’re belting out a ballad or crooning like your fave country artist, according to an article in Time magazine, singing may release endorphins as well as stimulate the release of a hormone that  alleviates anxiety and stress called oxytocin.
