We all have dreams and goals we’re hoping to achieve. Maybe you keep a mental checklist of things to do. You may have even written them down in hopes of checking them off as you go along. But inevitably the list gets lost or forgotten. To help you keep those goals at the forefront, let’s talk about a vision board. Vision boards are a visual reminder of what you want to achieve and can help motivate you along the way.
Everyone's vision board is going to be different but we have a few tips to make the process easy to tackle.
- Write down 5-7 goals you are looking to achieve within the next 2-3 years. Maybe it’s starting a small business (we’ve been there!), exercise more, write a book, etc., this list will be your starting point.
- Gather your supplies. You’ll need images and quotes that relate to your goals, markers, stickers and a piece of foam board or a bulletin board to use as a base.
- Now it’s time to build your board. This is a great time to disconnect from your devices and get creative. Center your goals on the board so that they’re the first thing you see when. From there add inspirational quotes, meaningful photos and anything else you need to keep you motivated and inspired.
- Whether on the back of your bedroom door or on a nightstand, set up your vision board in a place where you can be reminded daily and motivated about your goals and journey. Highlight goals when you achieve them and over time be sure to celebrate how far you’ve come.
